Just came back from a brief stay in Paris and these are some of my pictures:
The Louvre is glorious in early morning,
some jet-lagged tourists were the only people around,
early birds can witness the majesty of an empty Louvre Court.
When you wake up that early in the morning, everything is beautifully calm even in the nauseatingly crowded Paris,
Another lonely hyper-connected dude:
I met Jon Stewart at Deux Magots for breakfast that day—he made me laugh…
Angelina still has the best Mont Blanc of the city and it’s my duty to check the quality every time I am in town:
Of course my favorite is always “un petit noir au comptoir” (a quick small espresso at the cafés’ counter):
Couldn’t resist adding this image of Maryam from a couple of years ago…
Dear Michele.. Wonderful Pictures ..
“Each second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that will never be again. And what do we teach our children? We teach them that two and two make four, and that Paris is the capital of France.
When will we also teach them what they are? We should say to each of them: Do you know what you are? You are a marvel. You are unique. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you.
Your legs, your arms, your clever fingers, the way you move. You may become a Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel. And when you grow up, can you then harm another who is, like you, a marvel? You must work, we must all work, to make the world worthy of its children.”
– Pablo Picasso
I offer nothing so majestic as Picasso’s words, just my thanks for your stunning photography. And my best wishes to you. Strange, I woke up this morning wondering how you are. Fine, I see.
Merci Michele pour ces si belles images.
“A Paris
Au printemps
Sur les toits les girouettes tournent
Et font les coquettes
Avec le premier vent
Qui passe indifférent
Nonchalant
Car le vent
Quand il vient à Paris
N’a plus qu’un seul souci
C’est d’aller musarder
Dans tous les beaux quartiers
De Paris
Le soleil, qui est son vieux copain
Est aussi de la fête
Et comme deux collégiens
Ils s’en vont en goguette
Dans Paris”

Great photos!! I am going to Paris in a month. Do you have a favorite place to have dinner?
ceux sont vraiment excellents, i’ve never been in paris but this summer i’ll certainly vist there and share my multiple pics from Teheran and Paris with you.
i really like your posts
MIchelle,
They are beautiful. Especially the Boat by the Seine with the backdrop of Ile de Paris.
Its so beautiful to walk in the city. Especially on the bridges, in the mornings with the golden shimmer of the sun rays on the Seine.
Even time i walk on the Pont Mirabeau i am reminded of Appolinaire’s Le Pont Mirabeau, The poem has a rhythym like a flow of a river.

P.s: Fleur , thank you for sharing the Yves Montand song “Sous le Ciel de Paris”
Ajay, The words of picasso are as passionate and child-like as his brush strokes.
Michelle, J’aime le noisette a Paris.
Michelle
Were you a Fashion Photgrapher before? There is always a beautiful model in your Paris photos.

My dear Michelle, what can I say? Everytime I read your blog, I become more amazed. You are an inspiration… Your pictures calm me
Love always
Sitting alone there just shows the utter elegance and majesty of Michelle. The mix is nonle melancholy. I loved it. Tamas
I just love these photos.
Interestingly, I am writing a piece about photos I shot last Sunday in the early morning and taking advantage of this “golden hour”.
It’ll be online in a couple of hours at most.
But instead of Paris, I was shooting birds. In both cases, we got great light and soothing colours.
Capturing the temporary disconnection, disjunction and abandonment of Louvre from its repetitive visiting body, was a reminder that the essence of true architecture relies on a conscious realization to create a monument with soul. Tracing the footsteps of Philip II as the 12 century builder of this medieval fortress, up to I. M. Pai, as Louver’s latest addition architect of the pyramids, is nothing but an evolving symphony.
Creating spaces which devoid human presence and touch is to deafen all ears from hearing their poetry. After all architecture is poetry in motion.
On the other hand, you teased my hunger, sense, emotion and intellect, in your short visit to Deux Magots, Angelina, and Jon Stewart. In return I wish you the same, many folds over! Salute.
